Model versus object

Surviving Roman examples are hollow copper-alloy objects with twelve pentagonal faces, apertures of different diameters, and knobs at the vertices. Their sizes vary, and their function remains unknown.

Given an edge or overall diameter, this tool derives the geometry of a regular dodecahedron. Wall thickness produces an idealised inner solid; aperture diameter produces a transparent ratio. These are comparisons, not claims about manufacture.
